The Rocks Engagement: Desiree and Dhany

Hello World,

You will be very happy you came across this page today, because what you're going to see is very pretty :)). With 1000watt-smiled Desiree and Twinkle-in-the-eye-Dhany the engagement shoot had no choice but to turn out the way it did. They had such a natural and loving connection that the camera just swallowed them whole.
To my photographer friends who ask about light, the beautiful mid-afternoon light that you seen on the photos is not an accident. I was familiar with the Rocks area and knew when and where the sun would set. When we started at about 3.30pm, the sun was still fairly high so we started in open shade areas like the stair case or the church door. As the sun was coming down we got the opportunity to do backlit shots.

I am soooo looking forward to their wedding in November. From what I heard about the preparation details I'm sure it will be fabulous!!

Dhany is apparently an enthusiast photographer himself, so he brought his camera along as a prop. I'm curious to see how his pictures of this scene turned out!! I'll even forgive him for shooting with Nikon (just kidding, I heard fab things about Nikon :)
