Children Photography

Lately I came across a few children photographers who really blow me away, namely three: Barb Uil (http://www.jinkyart.com.au), Skye Hardwick (http://www.workofheartphoto.com) and Kristen Cook (http://www.kristencook.com.au). They are really inspiring and make me want to have a go at it. Except that I'm terrified, because how on Earth would I be able to photograph little creatures that are constantly on the move?! After a couple of photos taken of my daughter, I'm already exhausted. So, in the meatime, I found some old photos of this little girl I photographed at a wedding, and thought I'd play around with some Photoshop actions found on the site Florabella (http://www.florabellacollection.com). Apparently, Skye Hardwick (mentioned above) uses these actions, so if it's good enough for her...

I'm usually not a fan of Photoshop, which I very rarely use. I like my photos to keep a fairly natural feel, so apart from white balance and contrast, I don't spend too much time on them. I use Lightroom 3 which I find billiant and very practical to edit a lot of photos at once.
However, I just HAD to try these vintage actions. Just this time. Promise.
