Thom and Marie-Sophie got married last Sunday at the Births, Deaths and Marriages office in Sydney in what was the most intimate wedding I have ever shot. I was initially surprised by their choice of venue but I was told later that they were getting ready for their big wedding in France next June. Marie-Sophie is French but Thom could easily pass as a Frenchman himself, with his perfect French and well trained accent. Directing them in French was also quite unusual for me but certainly most welcome :)
To make things easy we had opted to go to the Rocks for our post-ceremony shoot, but fate would have it that I mistyped the address in my GPS and we ended up across the bridge in Lavender Bay. This turned out to be the absolutely perfect spot on such a sunny day, with its shaded leafy park and vintage textured walls.
