Pyrmont Park wedding: Ceri + Foad

On the morning of Saturday 23 April, I looked through the window and thought of Ceri and Foad. It was heavily raining and their outdoor wedding was just a few hours away. For having been a "plan B" bride myself (our ceremony ended up in a windowless room instead of the under-the-lovely-tree-in-the-vineyard scenario), I knew there would be some disappointment. Even as I greeted the bride as she was coming out of the car, under a black sky and fine rain, she suggested we moved the ceremony to the cafe nearby where the reception was organised. Luckily the celebrant pushed for going ahead as planned, and it was the best decision ever made in the History of mankind. Am I exaggerating? Maybe a little. Nonetheless, the rain remained gentle though the ceremony, and just as we started the location shoot the skies parted to let a sublime albeit soft and gentle sunset beam peak though the clouds. And on cloud 9 we were...
The official theme of the wedding was orange and blue, but I think they meant 1920s industrial vintage. And it's a compliment.

Special brownie points go to this couple for: a down to earth, intimate and personal wedding. One of my favourites of the year so far!
